Beautiful drop pendant with amber colored Birch bark.

This beautiful pendant is filled with a detail of the birch bark; beautiful amber color with slightly lighter vertical stripes.

You can also hang the pendant in a ring in your ear.

The bark of the Birch tree is phenomenal. The wafer-thin, papery bark peels off on its own, in long layered strips. And if you carefully peel those layers apart again, such beautiful colors emerge. Each layer has a completely different white, brown, amber or even deep red color.

The Birch trees from which I have found the most fallen bark on the ground are in the Amstelpark and in the Kinkerbuurt in Amsterdam. Or in the Waterleidingduinen.

The birch is also called 'the lady of the forest' and symbolizes life, love and feminine beauty.  The tree also symbolizes new beginnings, spring and especially light.

The pendant comes standard with a 45 cm snake chain with a logo charm. If you prefer a different length, please email first or immediately after placing an order.

Jewelry care :

All jewelry has an extra layer of Renaissance wax polish to protect against external influences. All handmade jewelry should be handled with care to ensure it lasts a long time.

• Avoid contact with water and remove jewelry when swimming, showering, washing hands, doing dishes, sauna or exercising.
• Also avoid contact with perfume, creams and other chemicals such as cleaning products. These can affect and damage the product.
• Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the jewelry (to remove skin oils and make-up, among other things) and then dry thoroughly.
• If possible, do not expose your jewelry to direct sunlight for too long. For example, put the jewelry in a small fabric bag or box for storage.
